Uzbekistan, Türkiye Leaders consider the current agenda of multifaceted cooperation
On July 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Leader of Türkiye cordially congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday and expressed his sincerest wishes for good health, well-being and great success, as well as progress and prosperity for fraternal Uzbekistan.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed his full support for the decisive actions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to ensure stability and sustainable development in the country and the Central Asian region.
Current issues of bilateral cooperation and global politics were considered.
The main attention was paid to the implementation of agreements at the highest level, including increasing the volume of mutual trade, accelerating investment projects in the energy sector, agriculture, industry, construction, modernizing tourism infrastructure, as well as intensifying humanitarian exchange.
Views were exchanged on the development of the situation in the region. The practical significance of the initiative to launch multilateral consultations at the level of the ministers of foreign affairs, trade and transport of Uzbekistan, Türkiye and Azerbaijan was noted. Issues of holding a summit of the Organization of Turkic States in November this year in the city of Samarkand were discussed.
