The President of Uzbekistan notes the importance of further enhancing the comprehensive partnership with France
On April 3, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Adviser to the President of France Isabelle Dumont. Issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level and prospects for enhancing the comprehensive partnership between the two countries were considered.
The distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and a personal letter from the President of France Emmanuel Macron to the President of Uzbekistan.
The importance of maintaining active political contacts, increasing the trade turnover, promoting large cooperation projects with leading companies and banks of France in green energy, mining sector, agriculture, textile industry, modernization of the water supply system, transport and tourism infrastructure was noted at the meeting.
The successful organization of cultural events and exhibitions at the Louvre Museum and the Arab World Institute in Paris was highly appreciated. The issues of expanding the study of French in Uzbekistan schools were also considered.
Views were exchanged on the current aspects of regional interaction in Central Asia.
