Presidents of Uzbekistan and Vietnam note the importance of intensifying trade and economic collaboration
On October 17, as part of a working visit to China, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong.
Issues of enhancing mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, were considered.
It should be noted that Vietnam is an essential traditional partner of Uzbekistan in the Asia-Pacific region. In recent years, contacts at different levels have intensified, and the volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures are growing. Projects are being implemented in agriculture and fish farming.
Opportunities for cooperation between leading companies in the oil and gas complex, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical, textile, footwear, furniture, food, and other industries, including within special economic zones and industrial parks, were noted.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Vietnam also supported the development of cultural, educational, and tourism exchanges.
