On July 5-6, the President of Uzbekistan will make a working visit to Azerbaijan

At the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan on July 5-6, informs the "Dunyo" news agency.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in the city of Shusha. The summit's theme is “Building a Sustainable Future through Transport Connectivity and Combating Climate Change.”

During the summit, discussions will focus on the further expansion of multilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economic areas, transport and communications, investment and finance, as well as in the fields of green economy, renewable energy, combating climate change, and human capital development.

The heads of delegations will also address current international and regional issues.

Following the event, a number of joint documents are expected to be adopted.

It should be recalled that on August 22-23, 2023, President Mirziyoyev  paid a state visit to Azerbaijan, during which he also visited the city of Shusha. This ancient city is rightly called the main pearl of Karabakh, a temple of Caucasian art, and the cradle of Azerbaijani music.
