Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra

Ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Madrid Farrukh Tursunov presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra Imma Tor Faus.
During the meeting with the Minister, the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the states were discussed.
Mrs. Faus highly appreciated the reforms that have been carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years, noting that Uzbekistan has become a driving force making a significant contribution to the development of Central Asia.
Particular attention was paid to the active dialogue between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, including the practical assistance of our republic in providing humanitarian and social support, protecting women's rights and organizing educational programs for Afghan youth.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of Uzbekistan's initiatives within international organizations, especially in matters of ecology and climate change.
Imma Tor Faus noted that the appointment of the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Andorra will contribute to the intensification of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including in the trade and economic sphere, as well as in supporting such areas as tourism, in particular mountain tourism.
