Spanish agricultural technology for the Khorezm region

Representatives of the khokimiyat of the Khazarasp district of the Khorezm region, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and the Embassy of our country in Madrid held online negotiations with the leadership of the Spanish Association of Equipment Manufacturers “SERCOBE”.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the possibility of implementing the project “Creating an agricultural cluster using Spanish technologies” on an area of ​​100 hectares in the Khazarasp region of the Khorezm region.

Ector Rodriguez, Head of the Department for Cooperation with Eastern European and CIS Countries, SERCOBE, noted that this project, from the point of view of introducing modern technologies and know-how, is very relevant today.

It was emphasized that in terms of production of fruits and vegetables, Spain ranks 2nd among EU countries and 6th among all countries of the world. Given the similar climatic conditions of Uzbekistan and Spain, the study of the experience and technologies of this country seems very useful, and their implementation will achieve high results in agro-industrial clusters focused on foreign markets.

The Association "SERCOBE" unites more than 400 enterprises and industrial groups, is a member of various advisory bodies, as well as national and European business organizations.
