Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Cape Verde, Seychelles and Burundi
Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations with Cape Verde, Seychelles and Burundi, reports “Dunyo” News Agency.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration of Cape Verde (a country in northwest Africa) Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares.
"Undoubtedly, the new partnership opens up new opportunities for the peoples of both our countries," noted Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The minister also held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Seychelles (East Africa) Sylvestre Radegonde and signed a joint communiqué.
"There are a number of perspective areas of cooperation, especially in promoting public diplomacy and tourism exchanges in both directions," said Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation of Burundi Albert Shingiro, a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations was also signed.
"This document will serve as a fundamental legal basis for unlocking the potential of bilateral cooperation between our two countries," the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry emphasized.
Thus, the number of countries that have established diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan has reached 152. Previously, documents on this were signed with Djibouti, Gambia, Belize and Liechtenstein.
